- This statement is being published by all the Committee Members of the Association.
- In the past few weeks, the Association has become aware of various statements circulating on several social media platforms concerning the donations received by the Association in connection with the Lord Buddha Sacred Relics event(s) organised in January 2026. After receiving independent legal advice on this matter, the Association has made a decision to publish this statement.
The Association
- The Association is a body corporate duly incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 2015 (WA) and registered with the Australian Charities and Not–for–profits Commission. s
The recent activities of the Association
- In the last six months, the Association received donations for organising the Lord Buddha Sacred Relics event(s) in Australia and towards the establishment of a community centre, which includes purchasing land and construction of the centre.
- The Association remains compliant at all times with its financial and legal obligations towards the State and Federal regulatory bodies in Australia, its members and donors in relation to all assets held by it.
Moving Forward
- The Association will continue to remain compliant at all times with its financial and legal obligations towards the State and Federal regulatory bodies in Australia and maintain its assets towards achieving the Association’s objectives, including establishing a community centre.
- The Association asks members of the community at large to refrain from making any statement(s) on social media platforms and the Association does not intend to litigate any matters on social media platforms.
The Association will not be making further comments while these matters are being addressed through the proper channels. It reserves all of its legal rights.
